Providing public safety and public order through co-production
This chapter identifies key user and community co-production approaches to improve public safety and order. It provides a comparison on the extent of co-production in public safety in European countries. The author then highlights revealing case studies on co-production in public safety, drawing on the Governance International case study hub. A critical assessment of potential benefits, risks and barriers to co-production in public safety and public order concludes this chapter.
