JOIN OUR LONDON STUDY VISITS on 11 and 12 October 2010 on "Getting more for more: Involving citizens in the design and delivery of public services"
The public sector now recognises very clearly that it not only has to provide services more efficiently but also to mobilise new resources … This two day study visit in London will link you up to innovative practices in the UK and to colleagues in the UK and elsewhere in Europe who are also wrestling the budget crisis.
Governance International will show you some of the ways in which your organisation can get ready to contribute to the Big Society. The site visits to innovative London boroughs, health units and government departments will give you a chance to talk to public managers and engaged citizens to understand how public service providers can help service users and other citizens to play a greater role in the decision making and delivery around public services.
The study visit is aimed at public managers working in central and local government and health in the UK and European countries. This is your chance to extend your network and learn what your colleagues are doing elsewhere.
